Ginger makes it

Ginger melts the chocolate, because Ginger melts everything. Lovely's job is the strawberries — sliced lengthwise, top to tip, so each half comes out looking like a little heart.

Lovely matches it

Strawberry hearts + chocolate. Lovely says this one basically matched itself and she is taking full credit anyway.

GINGER MADE ❤️ LOVELY MATCHED

Isn't that Lovely!

From Ginger's pantry

You'll need

  • About 12 strawberries
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • Optional: white chocolate for drizzling
  • Optional: sprinkles

Aprons on

Let's make it

  1. Wash the strawberries and dry them completely — chocolate and water do not get along.

  2. Slice each strawberry lengthwise, from the leafy top down to the tip, so the halves look like hearts. A grown-up handles or supervises the knife.

  3. Melt the chocolate gently, stirring often, with a grown-up at the stove or microwave.

  4. Dip or drizzle each strawberry heart in chocolate.

  5. Lay them on parchment paper, add a white chocolate drizzle or sprinkles, and let them set until firm.

Cooking options

🔥 Stovetop — Ginger's Main Method

A grown-up melts the chocolate gently at the stove, stirring often.

📡 Microwave — Ginger's Speedy Method

A grown-up melts the 1 cup of chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl on medium in 20–30 second bursts, stirring well after every burst, and stops while a few pieces are still visible — the last of them melt as you stir. Chocolate scorches quickly and stays hot longer than it looks, so the bowl and the dipping stay a grown-up job.
