From Ginger's pantry

You'll need

  • ½ cup soft butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • A big handful of chocolate chips

Let's make it

  1. Ask a grown-up to heat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mix the butter and both sugars until creamy.

  3. Stir in the egg, then the flour, baking soda and salt.

  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  5. Drop spoonfuls onto a lined baking tray.

  6. Grown-up: bake 10–12 minutes until golden at the edges. Cool, then munch.

Cooking options

🔥 Oven — Ginger's Main Method

350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until golden at the edges.

💨 Air Fryer — Ginger's Small-Batch Method

Line the basket with a piece of parchment, bake 6 spoonfuls at a time at 320°F (160°C) for 7–9 minutes, and let them firm up in the basket for a minute before lifting them out.
