From Ginger's pantry

You'll need

  • 1½ cups oats
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup soft butter (grown-up melts it)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder or a handful of mini chocolate chips
  • A pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar or coconut for the 'snow'

Let's make it

  1. Grown-up: melt the butter and let it cool a little.

  2. Stir the oats, honey, melted butter, cocoa and salt in a bowl.

  3. Chill the bowl in the fridge for 15 minutes so it's easier to roll.

  4. Roll into little balls with clean hands.

  5. Roll each ball in powdered sugar or coconut 'snow'. Chill 30 minutes.

No baking at all — the bites are stirred, rolled and chilled. A grown-up melts the butter.
