You'll need
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup crispy rice cereal (stirred in at the very end)
- ½ cup pumpkin or sunflower seeds
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp melted butter or neutral oil
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
- Optional variation: swap the seeds for chopped unsalted nuts

Let's make it
Mix everything together EXCEPT the crispy rice cereal.
Spread the mixture out on a lined baking sheet.
Grown-up: bake at 325°F (165°C) for 20–25 minutes, stirring once, until golden.
Grown-up: take the hot tray out and let it cool completely — that's when it crisps up.
Stir in the crispy rice cereal last, so it stays snappy.
