From Ginger's pantry

You'll need

  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp ground ginger + a pinch of cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp molasses (or a little extra brown sugar)

Let's make it

  1. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, ginger and cinnamon in a mug. Mix.

  2. Add the milk, oil and molasses. Stir until smooth.

  3. Grown-up: microwave about 1½ minutes, until just set on top.

  4. Grown-up: lift the hot mug out. Let it cool a few minutes.

  5. Eat it straight from the mug with a spoon. Builder's privilege.
