💚❤️ MINT TO BE
Lovely × Peppermint
From Lovely's chocolate cupboard
You'll need
- 2 cups (340 g) milk, dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup (85 g) white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup finely crushed candy canes, about 3 regular candy canes
Aprons on
Let's make it
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Put the candy canes in a sealed sturdy bag and ask a grown-up to crush them into small pieces with a rolling pin.
Ask a grown-up to melt the darker chocolate. Stir in the peppermint extract, then spread the chocolate on the parchment in an even layer about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick.
Ask a grown-up to melt the white chocolate. Drizzle it over the darker chocolate, then gently swirl the two with the tip of a butter knife.
Sprinkle the crushed candy cane evenly over the top and press it down very lightly.
Chill for about 30 minutes, until firm. A grown-up breaks or cuts it into about 18 pieces. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
